Who we are

Thunderbuns is a brand of Scribe-IQ B.V., trading as Foodies First, registered at Asterweg 103, 1031 HM Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 80683479.

We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. If you have questions about your data or this policy, email hello@thunderbuns.nl (mailto:hello@thunderbuns.nl).

What data we collect

If you fill in the contact form: we use this data to answer your question.

If you apply through the jobs form: we use this data to put you in touch with the owner of the Thunderbuns location nearest you. That means we forward your details to that owner, who then becomes the data controller for the rest of the application process and any employment relationship. We only forward your details to locations that match the preferences you gave us.

If you fill in the partner form: we use this data to contact you about a possible partnership.

If you visit the website: our website uses Mapbox to show locations. When that map loads, Mapbox processes data about your visit, including your IP address. Mapbox’s own privacy policy applies to that processing.

If you consent to statistics: we use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors find the website. Google sets cookies for this and processes data about your visit and your device. We only use that data to improve the website, not for advertising. Without your consent, we don’t load Google Analytics.

If you consent to the live chat: we use Crisp for our live chat. Crisp sets cookies to remember your conversation and processes what you write in the chat. Without your consent, we don’t load the chat.

You can change or withdraw your consent for statistics and the live chat at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the website.

Why we use your data

We process your data on the following grounds:

  • Performance of a contract or steps prior to it — for applications and partner enquiries.
  • Legitimate interest — to answer your question and to run and improve our website.
  • Consent — for Google Analytics and the live chat. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

How long we keep your data

  • Contact form: 12 months
  • Applications: we forward your details and do not store them ourselves
  • Partner enquiries: 12 months
  • Website data: 12 months
  • Statistics (Google Analytics): 14 months

After that we delete your data, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.

Who we share your data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with:

  • The owner of the location you apply to, as described above.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States), which hosts and secures our website. This may involve processing data outside the European Economic Area. This transfer takes place on the basis of [EU-US Data Privacy Framework / standard contractual clauses].
  • Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) for Google Analytics, only if you consent to it. Google may also process data in the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Crisp (France) for our live chat, only if you consent to it.
  • Mapbox, Inc. (United States) for the map of our locations.
  • Mux, Inc. (United States) for the videos on the website.
  • [Other processors: form handling, email]

We have data processing agreements in place with all our processors.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. Our website is secured with an SSL connection, and access to form submissions is limited to staff who need it for their work.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access, correct or delete your data;
  • object to processing or have it restricted;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time.

Send your request to hello@thunderbuns.nl (mailto:hello@thunderbuns.nl). We respond within one month. To help you, we may ask you to identify yourself.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). In Belgium this is the Data Protection Authority, and in Germany the competent supervisory authority of the federal state.

Ordering through Thuisbezorgd, Uber Eats and Wolt

You place your order not with us, but through a delivery platform. Those platforms are responsible for the data you leave with them. We only receive from them the data needed to prepare and deliver your order. Their own privacy policies apply to your data with them.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy. The most recent version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
